Protex 5 is a 4.5 mil latex saturated paper.

It protects bare aluminum, titanium, stainless steel, and painted surfaces during installation, painting, and other maintenance operations. The main uses for Protex 5 are on exterior aluminum skins in the aircraft industry, as well as electronic cabinetry, to prevent scratches during fabrication. After being applied to the surface it can be routed, drilled, countersunk and riveted. A liner allows the product to be die-cut if desired. This product is not intended for fly-away applications. Do not use on copper, brass, or anodized aluminum. Outdoor exposure is not recommended. Sold in rolls 24"x 60'
